Wayka Wren Golden

Meet Wayka Wren Golden.

Wayka is an Native American word that means Collective Work. Many months ago, Kristen petitioned for a dream to tell us the name of our child, even before we knew it was a boy or a girl. She had a dream where a wise woman gave her a boys and a girl’s name, however she could only ever remember the girls name. The woman gave her the name Wayka in her dream, and told her it was a native American name… turns out it is…

With all of our struggles and trials to get to this point, we think that “collective work” is a very apt name; it took a community of people and intention to help us create and deliver this little perfect baby.

We are happy at home and everything is peaceful and wonderful. Little Wayka Wren is bearing with us as we are fumbling through our new life together. Cloth diapers, baby cloths, nursing, changing 3 times a night… all new but already getting easier.

Love,

Matt, Kristen, and Wayka

  2. Wayka is beautiful...and so lucky. Here's to the Collective Work that made it possible (with a special nod to Kristen for her heroic accomplishment) and will continue to nurture and sustain you all. I am grateful to be part of the Collective. Love, Claudia
